Breathwork is simply the practice of consciously tuning into the breath with intention and awareness in the present moment.
Breathwork has many different branches and applications, from therapeutic and transformational breathing for healing, breathing for functionality and performance, down to simple yet powerful breathing techniques for nervous system regulation.
Simply breathing with intention for even just a few minutes a day has been shown to :
- Decrease stress and anxiety
- Help regulate energy levels
- Improve memory and focus
- Bring about feelings of calm and connection
If our bodies and minds are the land, then the quality of our breath can be seen as the rain, essential for sustaining life.
Joe is a Breathwork Practitioner with a deep passion for sustainable, integrated ways of living.
His journey with Breathwork began during a time of self-discovery, when he attended a group session out of curiosity. Following this session, he felt a profound shift in his state of being. Colours appeared more vibrant, his mind was clear, and he felt energised and open to the world.
Inspired by that first experience, Joe continued developing his personal breathwork practice and went on to complete a 400-hour Advanced Breathwork Practitioner certification through Breathwork Africa. His mission is to share the power of breath as a resource for regulation, reconnection and long-lasting vitality.
In This Motion was born from the recognition of the ever-evolving flow that is life — always moving, always shifting. It’s a reminder that we are not separate from the earth, but intimately woven into the rhythm of it. We are in this motion, part of the living, breathing flow of life itself.
It’s an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to feel the pulse of life moving through us — to remember that we belong. In this body, in this life. In this motion.
